"HINENI @ MT. CARMEL - A CALL TO BUSINESS"
HAIFA BAY
TYPICAL LUNCH
MEETING ROOM

In Haifa we will be staying at Beit Yedidia, the comfortable guesthouse of Kehilat HaCarmel (Carmel Assembly), Peter Tsukahira’s church. The conference meeting, as well as most meals, will take place at the guesthouse. The wonderful food prepared there is an international fare including local Middle Eastern specialities.

Beit Yedidia is in the midst of Haifa with convenient small shops close by. Most rooms have twin beds as well as their own showers. All bedding and linens are provided. A personal alarm clock would be good to bring.

Telephones are not in the guest rooms, but there is a public booth in the main lobby of Beit Yedidia. Often visitors to Israel will rent a cell phone at the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv upon arrival. These cell phones can be used for domestic and international calls.

Participants may bring thier own laptop computers. Wireless is always available in the dining room of Beit Yedidia, and a dial-up connection can be made available for a limited time each day. An in-house desktop computer with high-speed Internet connection is also available for daily use of guests.

The voltage in Israel is 220 volts AC at 60 cycles/second. The wall sockets will accept the standard European two prong plug

Dress in Israel is informal. Long pants, not short, for men are preferred. Suit jackets and ties will not be needed. For women, dressy casual clothing would be appropriate. Since several days will be spent touring, comfortable walking shoes are a must.

The touring portion of the conference will have special emphasis on where Jesus taught about the marketplace. It will take us to locations of Biblical significance in Galilee and around Mount Carmel. Teaching sessons will be provided during the tour that will help relate what you are seeing with the inspired words of the Bible. Times for sightseeing, photography and shopping for gifts and souvenirs will also be provided. Special care will be taken for the security of everyone associated with the conference. We are committed to an attitude of vigilance that seeks to eliminate unnecessary exposure to possible problems.

All materials for the conference sessions will be provided. However, please bring your own Bible - Old and New Testaments.
